How does Rockbus work?
Rockbus sells individual tickets for transportation to concerts. Trips depart from and return to locations called Rally Points that are accessible to public transportation, major highways, or centralized parking areas.
Trips start as unconfirmed, and when enough pre-payments are received the trip is confirmed. Customers can:
- Buy a ticket for any confirmed bus. Your credit card is charged immediately. After this, if seats are available, you may switch to another confirmed bus.
- Pre-pay for any unconfirmed bus to reserve a seat at a discounted price. Your credit card will be charged, and your ticket is fully refundable until the bus is confirmed. You will receive an email alert when the bus is confirmed. You will be automatically refunded and notified if the bus will not be confirmed.
- Watch a bus. You do not provide credit card information at this time. You will be notified via e-mail when a bus is confirmed. Tickets for confirmed buses are sold on a first come first served basis.
What is a Rally Point?
Rockbus coaches depart from and return to specific locations called Rally Points. These locations are selected because of location and availability of public and private transportation.
Do you want to suggest another Rally Point? Use our contact page.
Are Rockbus tickets refundable?
Seats purchased for a confirmed bus are non-refundable, but may be transferred for use on a future trip. Make sure to contact Rockbus before the date of the event, as credits will not be issued after the event.
Seats that are pre-paid for an unconfirmed bus are fully refundable until the bus is confirmed.
Email orders@rockbus.net for further information.
When should I pre-pay and when should I watch?
Pre-pay purchases are what make buses and rally points get confirmed. If you are definitely interested in riding on the bus, we recommend pre-paying for the rally point you want. Every pre-payment has a direct influence on which rally points get confirmed.
It's possible your pre-paid route may ultimately not be confirmed, but you will always be offered the opportunity to either transfer your ticket to a confirmed stop or get a full refund of your money.
While we track all watch activity for each show/route, buses are not confirmed based on watches. Of course, all watchers will be notified when a show's rally points have been confirmed.
What if I pre-pay for a seat and not enough other people sign up?
If a coach has not met the required number of passengers a few days before the event, Rockbus will cancel that trip and you will be informed via e-mail. Any alternate Rockbus coaches or third party transportation options will be sent at that time.
Pre-paid tickets are fully refundable if the trip is not confirmed.
Does the bus stop at more than one rally point?
Some Rockbus trips include multiple rally point pick-ups. We combine stops on trips in order to serve as many riders as possible. For example, if there is not enough interest at one rally point to confirm a bus, but by adding a second stop we are to confirm the route, we will do so.
All of our multi-stop Rockbus routes service only those rally points that can be reached on a reasonably direct route to the venue.
Are Rockbus tickets round trip? Do I have to ride both ways?
All Rockbus tickets are round trip.
You can ride Rockbus one way only, either to or from the venue, but please let us know if this is your plan. There are no discounts for one way trips.
How close to the show date does a bus get confirmed?
While some trips are confirmed well in advance of the show, others can be take until a few days before the show.
Pre-payers can always request a refund of their purchase prior to the route being confirmed.

Will I be left behind if I miss the departure time?
Departure times from Rally Points are not flexible and the coach cannot be held for passengers who are not present. Unless otherwise noted, departure times are set so that you arrive at the venue a few minutes before the scheduled show starting time, and returning buses will depart from the venue 1/2 hour after the show ends.
If there are multiple vehicles leaving from one rally point, Rockbus will try to accommodate latecomers, but coaches will never be allowed to carry passengers over their legal capacity.
Can I take public transportation to Rally Points?
Rockbus will try to establish rally points that permit passenger use of public transportation wherever possible.

Absolutely! Just no booze.

Yes, if the venue allows tailgating. You may bring a cooler that will be stowed underneath the bus for the duration of the trip. Upon arrival, you can use the Rockbus parking area for tailgating, subject to all applicable venue rules and local laws.
Want more time to get your tailgate on? Look for a weekend trip scheduled to get you to the venue a few hours early.
What if I lose my ticket?
After you purchase a seat, you will receive an e-mail that should be printed and will serve as your ticket and receipt of purchase. If you do not have the printed e-mail when boarding the bus, you must provide photo ID that matches the name under which the ticket was purchased.
What if I want to sell or give my seat to someone else?
You may give someone else the ticket that is e-mailed to you, but remember that each ticket can only be used once. If the same ticket is presented more than once, only the original ticket purchaser will be allowed to board the bus.

Is this a party bus?
Nope. Rockbus was created to provide a safe, fun and relaxing way for fans of all ages to get to and from shows. We want everyone on the bus to have a good time, so we ask all our riders to respect and appreciate the experience of those around them as well as themselves.
Loud or rowdy behavior will only serve to turn off other riders, making it more difficult for Rockbus to continue to roll. Respect your fellow fans on board and save the shouting for the show!
This is a great service, how can I try to ruin it for everyone else?
If you vandalize the bus, bring alcohol or drugs onto the bus, or treat the driver or other passengers badly, Rockbus will not be able to obtain coaches. Help us keep Rockbus operating smoothly and safely.
